ABSTRACT FORMATTING

1. All abstracts must be written in English and must be the author’s own work.

2. The length of the abstract title is not limited and must be submitted using the Title Case (e.g. ‘My Abstract for IPC Will Be Presented in Bratislava).

3. There is no limit to the number of co-authors who can be submitted for one abstract. The authors’ order can be changed if needed by swapping the names in the list of authors. The first name is considered to be the main author.

4. The minimum abstract length is 400 words, and the maximum length is 500 words. All submissions should follow this structure: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References (optional).

5. Corresponding keywords in alphabetical order are mandatory – 5 keywords are required and should be included in the Keywords submission step. Keywords should be written using the Title Case (First Letter Is Capital).

6. Up to 1 picture can be inserted into the text flow using the “Picture Insert” icon to start the upload process. Photographs of commercial products are not permitted unless they add educational value. The Scientific Committee desire that all authors understand unambiguously that commercialism is inappropriate and will not be tolerated. Authors are asked to keep these constraints when preparing their abstracts, papers, and presentations.

PICTURE UPLOAD GUIDE

a) Click the “Picture Insert” button.

b) Click the “Upload” button (1) and select the picture you wish to insert from your computer. It will be uploaded to the insert image gallery (2).

 c) Select the corresponding picture (1), copy the picture title into the “Alternate Text” field (2) and add the picture dimensions (one size is sufficient) (3) and confirm the selection with the ”Insert” button. (4) (width 300px = approx. 7cm wide).

IMPORTANT! The title of your picture has to be written in the abstract text above the picture, not only in the “Alternate Text”.

d) When the picture is uploaded, the correct location and size can be checked. If you wish to change the dimensions you can simply delete the inserted picture and upload it once again with a different size.

Further information on presentation requirements and poster preparation will be provided in the additional communication in due time.
