Lola is a PhD researcher at Gaspar Perez's lab in the Institue of Agrochemistry and Food thecnology (CSIC). Her work focuses on the comprehensive process of developing microbiome studies, from sample preparation to data processing and analysis. She is particularly intrigued by the gut-brain-liver axis and the potential microbiome alterations that may be linked to cognitive impairment in liver disease. In addition to this, she is passionate about exploring the specific pathways present in different microbial species, aiming to determine their potential benefits or drawbacks.
