Abstract submission

Would you like the opportunity to gain international recognition, spark discussion, and contribute to the cutting-edge research shaping the future of probiotics and microbiome science? Enter your abstract for an oral presentation or a poster display at IPC 2026 and share your latest discoveries with a global community of scientists, industry experts, and peers.

Abstracts from the two categories will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and successful oral submissions will share their groundbreaking research and innovative ideas live from the stage during IPC 2026, with an international audience of peers and experts. Poster submissions will be displayed in the poster hall during the three days of IPC 2026 in Krakow. Abstracts received via e-email or after the deadline will not be accepted and therefore will not be considered for the programme or publication. Please see further T&C’s on the abstract guidelines.

Deadlines for the two category submissions are:

• Oral presentations - 24 April 2026
• Poster presentations - 1 May 2026

In addition, NutraIngredients and the IPC Scientific Committee will be presenting an award for each category at IPC 2026 in Krakow. 

• Best Poster Award will recognise the presenting author of the most outstanding poster submissions that meet our defined criteria. Three prizes are available, with winners announced for this award at IPC 2026. Each winning participant will receive an award certificate and a personal editorial invitation to contribute an article to the journal. For more information on the criteria, please click here.


• Emerging Talent Award will celebrate outstanding young scientists at the early stages of their careers who are conducting innovative basic or applied research in probiotics or prebiotics through their oral paper submissions.
