Dr. Rupasinghe is a Professor of Functional Foods & Nutraceuticals and Arthur B. McDonald Chair of Research Excellence at the Department of Plant, Food, and Environmental Sciences of Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia, Canada. His Food Bioactives Research Program aims to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying the health-promoting benefits of phytochemicals and their probiotic metabolites, including their potential for cancer prevention and treatment. He has published over 275 peer-reviewed articles, 23 book chapters, 5 patents, over 300 conference abstracts, and delivered over 95 invited talks (Google Scholar Author h-Index of 81 with total citations of over 20,500).
