Ana Flávia Marçal Pessoa is a pharmacist-biochemist and professor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of São Paulo (USP), in the Department of Food and Experimental Nutrition. Her research focuses on the development of natural-derived supplements with prebiotic properties, aiming to modulate gut microbiota and improve metabolic health. She holds a PhD in Science from USP and has completed postdoctoral training in biomedical sciences and experimental surgery. Her work integrates natural products, nanotechnology, and clinical research, with emphasis on inflammation, wound healing, and metabolic disorders, contributing to translational approaches in nutrition and health.
