Ana Flávia Marçal Pessoa is a pharmacist-biochemist and professor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of São Paulo (USP), in the Department of Food and Experimental Nutrition. Her research focuses on the development of natural-derived supplements with prebiotic properties, aiming to modulate gut microbiota and improve metabolic health. She holds a PhD in Science from USP and has completed postdoctoral training in biomedical sciences and experimental surgery.
