Hiroshi Ohno, MD, PhD, is Team Director at the RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Sciences and a respected leader in immunology and biomedical research. He earned his medical degree (1983) and PhD (1991) from Chiba University. Dr. Ohno began his career at Chiba University as an Assistant and later Associate Professor before becoming Professor at the Cancer Research Institute, Kanazawa University (1999–2004). He joined RIKEN in 2004 as a Team Leader and has since held key leadership roles, including Group Director (2013–2018) and Deputy Director (2020–2024). He was appointed Team Director in 2025. He has also served as Visiting Professor at Yokohama City University (2005–2024) and continues at Chiba University. With extensive experience in research and leadership, Dr. Ohno is recognized for advancing integrative approaches to immunology and medical science.
