Emerging Talent Award 2026

The Emerging Talent Award celebrates outstanding young scientists at the early stages of their careers who are conducting innovative basic or applied research in probiotics or prebiotics through their oral paper submissions.

• the presenting author is under the age of 32 and a PhD or a PhD student
• they applied for the Emerging Talent Award when submitting their online abstract submission
• authors must submit their full paper by 1st May 2026 for pre-evaluation of the Scientific Committee

The Scientific Committee of IPC, led by Arthur Ouwehand, will elect the most outstanding poster paper and the winners will be announced on day three of IPC 2026.

The first-place winner will receive €1,000, second place will receive €500, and third place will receive €250. Each winner will also receive a certificate acknowledging their achievement.
